1. Introduction
At Silvia (getsilvia.com) we take our users' privacy very seriously. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and how we protect it.
The controller of your data is the Silvia team. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, you can write to us at soporte@getsilvia.com.
If you live in the European Economic Area (for example, Spain), we process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable local data protection rules. - Screenshots and other images
- Links to YouTube videos you include in your messages
These files are processed through our artificial intelligence provider (see section 4) and are stored temporarily (see section 7).
3. How We Use the Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Silvia service
- Personalize the user experience
- Generate recommendations and advice through artificial intelligence
- Process subscription payments
- Send relevant service notifications (payment reminders, trial expiry, task alerts)
- Improve and develop new features
- Prevent fraud and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use users' personal data for third-party advertising and we do not sell data to any third party.
4. Artificial Intelligence and Data Processing
Silvia uses a third-party artificial intelligence provider, Google Gemini (Google LLC), for features such as the chatbot, the sales pipeline, content analysis and metric extraction. For these features to work, the content you upload is sent to Google for processing.
The data sent to Google Gemini includes:
- User messages to the chatbot
- Your operational data in the app, so that answers are about your real work: creator profile, media kit and its analytics, brand deals, payments, tasks and rates
- Analytics screenshots for metric extraction
- Pipeline conversation history in order to generate advice
- The videos you attach to the chat for analysis (they are uploaded to Google's files API so they can be processed)
- The documents and contracts (PDFs, images) you attach for review, summary or analysis
- Links to YouTube videos included in your messages
This data is sent securely and is used exclusively to generate real-time responses for you. According to Google's policies for its Gemini API, the content sent is not used to train its models. Google's processing is further governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
5. Who We Share Data With
We share data only with the following third parties, exclusively in order to provide the service:
- Supabase — Database storage and authentication
- Vercel — Hosting of the web application
- Stripe — Payment processing (billing data only)
- Google Gemini — Artificial intelligence processing
- Resend — Sending transactional emails
- Google OAuth — Authentication with a Google account (only if the user chooses this method)
- Google Calendar — Synchronization of your publishing and task calendar (only if you connect your Google Calendar account)
We do not share, sell or assign personal or commercial data to third parties for advertising, marketing or any other purpose unrelated to providing the service.
5.1 Use of Google API Data (Limited Use)
The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, when you connect your Google Calendar account, we request permission only to read and create calendar events, for the sole purpose of syncing your posts and tasks inside Silvia. We do not use that Google data for advertising, we do not sell it or transfer it to third parties, and we do not allow people to read it unless it is necessary to operate or improve the feature at your request, for security, or where the law requires it. You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from the app, which revokes our access.
6. Storage and Security
Data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase (AWS infrastructure). We implement the following security measures:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all communications
- Passwords stored with a bcrypt hash, never in plain text
- Row Level Security (RLS) on every database table, ensuring each user can only access their own data
- Validation of uploaded files (type and size)
- Rate limiting on critical endpoints
- Security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, CSP)
- Restricted administrative access with authentication and granular permissions
7. Data Retention
Files you upload to the chat (videos and documents): are ephemeral. They are deleted from our storage as soon as you remove them from the chat and, in any case, automatically within 48 hours of being uploaded. The text of the conversation with Silvia (your messages and its answers), by contrast, is kept while your account is active in order to preserve the chat history and thread.
We keep the rest of the user's data while their account is active. When the account is deleted:
- Personal and commercial data is deleted within 30 days
- Files in storage (photos, screenshots, PDFs) are deleted within 30 days
- Anonymized system logs may be kept for up to 90 days for security purposes
If the user cancels their subscription without deleting their account, the data remains accessible in case they decide to reactivate their subscription in the future.
8. User Rights
As a Silvia user —and, if you live in the EU/EEA, under the GDPR— you have the right to:
- Access: See what data we hold about you
- Rectification: Correct incorrect data from your profile
- Erasure: Permanently delete your account and all your data. You can do it yourself from Profile → Delete account inside the app, or by writing to support
- Portability: Export your data in a standard format
- Objection: Object to the processing of your data for specific purposes

11. International Transfers
Data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence (the United States and other jurisdictions where our providers operate). We make sure that these providers meet adequate data protection standards.
12. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this policy. Significant changes will be notified by email or through a notice on the platform at least 15 days in advance. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document.
